Goodbye... | | |
| Ok so time for another update. It's not gonna be much of an update....more like a collage of thoughts that have been floating in my head and its finally time to write it all down. First off, I'm gonna establish that I'm EXHAUSTED. I'm always tired I know, but I'm REALLY REALLY tired. Work is definately taking its toll on me. It has convinced me that I'm gonna retire at age 27 (That is when my life is just gonna click... well, it better...) But yea, summer school is kicking my butt. I'm soooo behind, well not in government. I'm doing good in that class. Gotta 100 on my last exam. YAYUH!! But my other two classes are seriously kicking my ass I need help. Like I need three of me. One to take care of my work, one for summer school, and one for having fun. Personally I wanna be the "having fun" Cynthia. But right now it's just work work work, not even summer school. *sigh* I need to seriously learn to say no. I'm actually getting better at it. Cuz there has been many times this summer when I wanted something or wanted to do something, and have tamped down on my selfishness and learn to say "no" to myself. Just gotta learn to say "no" to others. Okay well enough with my pity party...
So the NBA draft was yesterday. I was trying to see where our UT boys went and I was secretly wishing they would get crappy offers so they would go back to college ball, but alas, no. LaMarcus was the second pick going to the Bulls, but he's gonna be traded to Portland. And Gibson and PJ Tucker did alright. They were in Round 2 and personally I think Gibson should have stayed with UT another year so he could get more experience. In the end Gibson went to Cavaliers as the 42nd pick and PJ went to the Raptors as the 35th. So now with everyone gone, we're gonna suck next year....
Me and my siblings have been playing this board game called Risk like almost every night, and I think there should be warnings on the box like, "WARNING: GAME MY CAUSE VIOLENT OUTBURST" or "WARNING: FAMILIES MAY SPLIT UP DUE TO PLAYING THIS GAME" cuz that's pretty much is what is happening. We're just way too competitive to play the game in a civilized manner. Throughout the entire game, there is name-calling, pillow throwing, punching, kicking, throwing of pieces at each other, and it just gets ridiculous. We pretty much start laughing at each other when one of us gets into their "fit" You would think we were playing for like a million dollars or something with the way we were carrying on. It got so bad one night we actually woke up my grandma who was downstairs sleeping. That resulted in a ban of the game that lasted only 3 days. The game is too addicting to really call it quits.Maybe its only fun cuz I actually enjoy the arguments that evolve from the game. *shrugs* who knows...
Ok so I jammed my finger playing b-ball at REC week. Normally the pain would go away in like a week right? But no, my finger still hurts, and its been more than a month. I don't know whats wrong with it. I'm getting a little worried now since it seems abnormal for my finger to be hurting this long, but then again, maybe I'm just making a bigger deal than it possibly is. That happens quite often in my case.
Although working for my boss is quite tiring, I find that I really enjoy it. Not only do I get paid awesome wages but she's really nice and pretty flexible with what I do so its great. But I think one of the bonuses for working for her is that I get to see the most AMAZING houses. Just driving by them or walking inside them makes me so jealous. I mean she works with upscale houses like in the millions and just walking onto the property I get like a surge of jealousy that they own such an awesome house and their selling it! Jeez! I seriously can't wait to have the funds to make my own dream house and after I make it for sure I WILL NOT be selling it. I have to show you guys just some of the houses I see everyday. It's enough to make any person house crazy.
Ok so I think thats it for today. I know there wasn't any cohesiveness to this entry but I'm just too tired to really think straight. My minds been kinda like a big blob of mush for the past couple of weeks. Not really processing much, and reacting slowly to a lot of things. I find there has been a lot of dozing off going on lately and I seirously can't wait for a REAL break. Ok so until the next time...

| So my birthday has come and gone, so YAY for turning 19!!! Just wanted to thank everyone who sent me text messages, phone calls and facebook messages on my birthday. Really appreciate it. But yea, had a real good time on Saturday thanks to my friends. They tried to "suprise" me, but I'm too good for that. I'm unsuprisable. Anywayz, they took me to Zuma Fun Center. Sad I know, that I find pleasure in a place that like 3 year olds go to. Just goes to show my real age. We went on the bumper boats and I got freaking soaked. I think the man working the place was probably laughing at us. We're pretty foolish. I mean, a bunch of 19 year olds playing on like kiddie boats and stuff. Haha...must have been funny to watch. After bumber boats, we went on go-carts and me and Melanie PWNED everyone when we were racing, and almost died when we like had a three way collision with Z, me, and some little girl. The staff people kept blowing their whistles at us cuz we were definately attacking them lanes. I also almost like busted my head open when I fell backwards while sitting on railing. That was little scary too. But no worries, it's all good. After go-carts, we went inside to play on the games, where we probably annoyed the crap out of the workers cuz we had to keep asking them to give us this and that and fix this machine, and then turn around and break it again. We were definately ma fan and loud. Near the end, we found this one game where you try to drop a ball into a hole while the thing spins around. Sounds dumb, but oh so addicting. Especially when we kept winning.

Hooray for hitting the jackpot TWICE!
The AWESOME crew that took me out to play...
Ok so yea, after a few more rounds at the go-cart place and getting my prizes, by the way are probably broken by now, we decided to head over to Ch's house since we were tired and hot. Went swimming, and when I got there, Olivia, Ch, and Steph put on a show for us. They made a synchronized swimming dance thing and it was pretty funny to watch. Especially when Steph got in the deep end and was like struggling to stay afloat. Good times. If you ever see Steph, ask her to sing to you her stripper music. It's pretty hilarious. By the time we were done swimming we were starving so we ordered pizza. Mmmmm.....pizza. Then decided to watch a movie but couldn't decide what to watch, so we ended up watching Brokeback Mountain. Me, Olivia, and Lynna gave everyone the cliffnotes version of the movie skipping about 80% of the film cuz thats how much of it was not needed to understand the movie. And so with the end of the movie, that pretty much concluded my birthday experience. Didn't do anything too crazy, but I LOVED it all the same. Just hanging out with the coolest people in the world is better than working for sure. And with that I must thank my sister too, since she worked for me so I could go hang out with friends.
So my cousin also got married on my birthday, and I'm a little sad that I didn't go. I really wanted to see the family and just chilll with them and stuff. My cousin told me I really should have came so he could get me drunk off my ass, but I was like..."yea...no thanks."
Other than that, not much else going on in my life. So I'm gonna head out. Thanks once again for wishes and gifts and just everything. Laterz.

| So it's been awhile, and I've been busy, busy, busy! All this working is really affecting my lack of summer school work being done. Well, its also the fact that I'm lazy and I like to procastinate, but lets just say, work is the issue. Today, has been pretty hectic, cuz my boss just got back from vacation, and so there was A LOT of things I had to get done for her. But yea, other than work and the lack of studying, I haven't really done much. Kinda just relax whenever I have the time. Did hang out with the girls yesterday at Cafe Express. Food wasn't that great, but company was good so that made up for it. After dinner we played like some kind of wierd cup game with the fountains. That was fun, until the stupid security guard stopped us.
So yea, summer has really proven to be stressful, yet rewarding. When I'm not working or studying (which isn't a lot), then I'm with the family. This last week, me and my siblings have found the joy of Risk. Many nights have been devoted to this game instead of my reading my history/gov books. But yea, Risk is awesome! I totally love it. Brings out my competitive nature out and I totally kick butt in that game. Y'all should play it sometime. It's a great feeling when you have like 40 troops fighting against 1.
Also, according to my parent's I was a bully when I was little. Apparently, out of all the kids, I was sent to the principals office the most. It seems I liked punching boys. I do not remember any of this, but my mom told me that I got in fight with a lot of boys in elementary. I think my mom is lying. I distinctly remember being called "cute" on many occasions, and have no recollection of this "fighting" streak my mom claims that I had. She also said, when I used to live in LA, I would fight with my grandma for the remote, and when I didn't get it, I would go to my room, pack my things, and then calmly tell my grandma that I was leaving. She would then start begging my to stay, and would bargain with the remote, saying that if I stayed I would get the whole remote to myself. I also don't remember this incident, but my mom claims it happened. So I guess it did...
Ok so I must get back to work. So until the next time I feel like posting...Laterz
